Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Utica, New York

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a 42-bed intensive care unit encompassing Neuro/Med, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma ICU populations
• Manage complex patient diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, cardiogenic shock, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiovascular surgery, and major trauma/post-operative cases
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (PRISMA/NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management (Arctic Sun)
• Float to other units as needed, excluding Behavioral Health and the Emergency Department (unless holding)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based critical care in a fast-paced environment

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency with CRRT and Prismaflex required
• Epic EMR experience required

• 4–5 years of ICU experience strongly preferred
• Cardiac/heart experience highly preferred and prioritized during review
• Experience with IABP, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management devices
