Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Warrenton, VA

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Rotating weekends | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Medical ICU setting with a 2:1 patient ratio for ICU-status patients, plus boarder patients as needed
• Manage and care for adult patients presenting with common diagnoses including ACS, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, GI conditions, and renal failure
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps, Omnicell, and Spacelabs monitoring systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Float to MSU/PCU/Telemetry units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia
• Minimum 2+ years of critical care nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Associate's degree in Nursing (or higher)
• Experience with Meditech EHR
• Ability and willingness to float to MSU/PCU/Telemetry as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a community hospital setting
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with flexibility and consistency
• Familiarity with Baxter pumps, Omnicell, and Spacelabs monitoring equipment
