Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Wichita, KS

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 48 hours/week | 6-Week Assignment | No RTO or Special Scheduling Requests

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed ICU/Surgical ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio (1:1 for high-acuity patients including post-CABG)
• Manage and monitor patients including trauma, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU populations
• Operate and manage specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia devices, and ECMO
• Perform and assist with procedures such as chest tube management, central line care, and medication drips
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications — all must be included at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required — must be submitted with application packet
• Ability to work nights with no time-off requests or special scheduling accommodations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification
• Prior travel nursing experience at large trauma facilities
• Driven, organized, and efficient work style with a positive, engaged attitude
