Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Utah

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Millcreek, Utah

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period; holiday rotation

Highlights:

• 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with dedicated telemetry monitoring support and patient care technicians on each shift
• Comprehensive case mix including cardiac, neurological, and post-procedure patients requiring continuous monitoring
• EPIC documentation system with streamlined workflow and clinical decision support
• Work in a facility designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Level II Trauma Center
• Charge nurse available without assignment when census allows for enhanced staff support
• Float within competency to ensure appropriate skill match and patient safety

Requirements:

• Current Utah RN License or compact state licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills and cardiac monitoring experience
• Experience managing progressive care patients including cardiac, neurological, and post-cardiac procedure populations
• Proficiency with vasoactive drips (within PCU/IMC scope), chest tubes, high-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Demonstrated time management and communication skills in fast-paced clinical environments
• Ability to participate in rapid response team activations
