Job Summary: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while providing health education and counseling. The position requires working night shifts, with the potential to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and may include being placed on-call during scheduled hours.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights, 3-12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: ASN degree from an accredited School of Nursing, current RN license in the state of practice, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS certification, at least 1 year of nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing, TNCC certification
Skills: Nursing care, health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment, patient referral, treatment plan review, clinical documentation, resource utilization, registered nursing experience, medical functions
Additional Information: The role involves evaluating health status through ongoing data collection, executing delegated medical functions, referring patients as needed, reviewing therapy plans, and documenting in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. The position may require floating within scope of competency and being on-call based on operational needs.
