Job Summary
IMCU Registered Nurse Intermediate Care Unit Location unspecified. This role involves providing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, perform health education, and execute delegated medical functions to support patient well-being.

Job Details

• Position Description: Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
• Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
• Performs health teaching and health counseling.
• Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.
• Executes delegated medical functions.
• Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Uses resources as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Schedule: Days, 3-12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: RN License (Single State or Compact RN License), BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, minimum of 1-year nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education: ASN (Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing); Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certifications & Licensure: Current registered nurse license in practice state; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Skills & Experience: Nursing care, health data assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, treatment plan monitoring, clinical documentation, resource utilization, medical function execution, patient referral, registered nurse experience.
