Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). This role requires commitment to providing high-quality patient care during the night shift, with a flexible schedule offering 36 or 48 hours per week. As a vital member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate care while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health records system.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff as needed.

Schedule Details

• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment required.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or pending approval.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic.
• Ability to adhere to float policies and fulfill staffing needs as required.

Additional Information

Please note that time off for Labor Day weekend cannot be approved. However, up to 40 hours of time off can be accommodated for other requests.
