IMC Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The IMC Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients in a high acuity Medical Surgical Intermediate Care Unit. This position requires a strong foundation in nursing practices and the ability to perform various medical procedures and treatments.

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Start Date: 10/26/2026
  • Shift: 3x12 Nights (1900 - 0730)
  • Weekend Requirement: 3-4 shifts per 4-week block
  • Holidays: Required as scheduled
  • Floating: Required within skillset

Patient Care Responsibilities

  • Assist in central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and para/thoracentesis.
  • Manage bedside hemodialysis and plasmapheresis.
  • Perform cardioversion, administer adenosine, and manage chemotherapy protocols.
  • Provide IV immunoglobulin (IVIG) and participate in tracheostomy exchanges.
  • Conduct bronchoscopies while ensuring secure airway management.

Unit Information

  • Type: 16-bed IMC/ICU stepdown unit
  • Staff: Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy on unit
  • Patient Caseload: Mixture of patients from the Emergency Department and upgraded floor patients needing ICU support or step-down care

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in nursing, with a focus on intermediate or critical care.
  • Certifications: BLS and CPI required; ACLS preferred.
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.
  • First Time Travelers: Accepted.
