Schedule: Float pool assignment rotating between Medical/Surgical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) units. Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6. Weekend coverage required (12 weekend shifts per contract). Holiday shifts expected.

Highlights:

• Dynamic float pool role providing care across multiple specialty units including Med/Surg, IMC, Observation, Trauma Surgical, Joint, Stroke, Palliative & Renal, ED inpatient, Women's, and Bariatric Surgery
• Epic EMR system required – recent experience mandatory
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with complex diagnoses such as acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, MI, unstable angina, and trauma
• Opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills including cardiac and vasoactive drip management, ventilator care, chest tube management, and arterial line monitoring
• Travel nursing assignment with non-local candidates preferred

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years of IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience in a hospital setting (hard requirement)
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and valid
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• 2-step PPD required
• Must be comfortable floating to all specialties across Med/Surg and IMC units
• Charge experience preferred

Clinical Skills & Experience:

• Cardiac telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management and titration of cardiac drips and vasoactive medications
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients, including chronic trach/vent patients
• Post-cardiac catheterization care, including TR Band and sheath removal
• Central line, PICC line, and arterial line management
• Blood product administration and transfusion protocols
• Chest tube management, wound vacs, and surgical drain care
• High-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP management
• Insulin and heparin protocols, IV insulin drip titration
• Care of neurological patients including CVA, traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, and intracranial bleeds
• Post-operative orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement care
