Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg Telemetry/Intermediate Care (IMC) Float Pool. The candidate will be responsible for providing care across multiple units, primarily floating between medical/surgical and IMC units.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma.
• Manage a patient load of 1:4 to 1:6, ensuring safe and effective care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to evaluate patient needs and implement appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care and outcomes in the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience on an Intermediate Care unit.
• Recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Proficiency in the EPIC electronic health record system is essential.

Requirements

• Flu shot is required for this position.
• A two-step PPD test is required, with no exceptions.
