Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool

Job Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse working in the Med/Surg Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) Float Pool. The nurse will provide care across both medical-surgical units and IMC units, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety in diverse clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in a float capacity between Med/Surg and IMC units.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6.
• Provide care for patients with conditions including:
• • Acute respiratory distress
  • Septic shock
  • Hypertensive crisis
  • Severe congestive heart failure
  • Myocardial infarction
  • Unstable angina
  • Trauma patients

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in an Intermediate Care unit in a hospital setting.
• Proficient in using EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Requirements

• Flu vaccination required.
• Two-step PPD screening mandatory.

Shift Details

This position is for night shifts, working 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly.
