Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse in Plattsburgh, NY. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the intermediate care unit with a focus on patient stabilization and recovery. The assignment is scheduled to start on 09/21/2026, with a duration of approximately 13 to 16 weeks, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NY license or proof of application with applied date, certifications including AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); less than 2 years' Epic experience; no minimum experience required beyond the specified skills; must have at least 1 year tele experience; experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, post cardiac cath procedures; must be assigned to float team and able to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year's Day/Eve).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in electronic medical record systems within the past 2 years
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: IVS to OFFER; shifts are scheduled Monday through Sunday; no block schedules; bi-weekly orientation sessions available; all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained; work history must be complete to submit; reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to public transportation limitations in the area.
