Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

RN - IMC
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Rotate between two units: D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3 IMC Thoracic unit
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities, varied medical diagnoses, and hemodynamic instability
• Specialty populations include patients with Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant
• Work in a fast-paced academic medical and Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team providing both general care and IMC level patient care
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required
• Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital
• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• MS/Tele experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Telemetry test criteria includes 100% identification of lethal rhythms and no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions
• Two attempts allowed to pass the telemetry exam; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), WI RN or compact RN license
• Key skills include: vent management, post-transplant care, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, PICC line management, titration of cardiac and insulin drips, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and trauma I or II experience

The facility operates a 24/7 Level 1 Trauma Center and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more. The facility's 29-bed IMC unit specializes in caring for acutely ill adult patients requiring advanced monitoring and specialized nursing care.
