Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a busy, fast-paced healthcare facility serving a wide region. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing severe, but usually non-life threatening issues requiring moderately complex assessments and interventions. The focus is on delivering clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; a minimum of 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience, with preferred experience in Medical or Neuro Intensive Care Units. Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management. Candidates must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, which includes reading/interpreting rhythm strips; failure will result in contract termination.

- Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level. The position may involve working major holidays and picking up additional shifts during each schedule period (4 weeks). A 13-week contract allows the organization to call off shifts with 48 hours notice, which may include full or partial shifts. The schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays. Travelers must be available to work two of the three major holidays, with one being Eve + Day.
