Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Thoracic IMC – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Patient ratio 1:3. 36 hours of orientation provided.

- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 29-bed unit caring for acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability
- Collaborative team environment where nurses are integral members of the multidisciplinary care team
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years
- Required: Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
- Required: Ventilator and transplant experience (strong proficiency mandatory)
- Required: Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Must pass telemetry exam prior to assignment start (80% or higher with 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms)
- Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
Key Clinical Skills:
- Cardiac telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Ventilator management and non-invasive airway management
- Post-transplant care and immunosuppression protocols
- BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
- Central line, PICC line, and port management
- Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and surgical drain management
- Titration of cardiac drips and insulin protocols
- Blood product administration and heparin protocols
- Arterial line management and ABG interpretation
