Travel RN – Progressive Critical Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) – Days

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medically complex and surgically delicate patients in a Progressive Critical Care Unit, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
- Manage and titrate advanced hemodynamic medications including antihypertensive drips, sedative drips, Narcan drips, and thrombolytics per established protocols
- Monitor and manage patients with arterial lines (A-lines), central venous pressure (CVP) lines, external ventricular drains (EVD), and orthopedic traction
- Operate and manage advanced respiratory support equipment including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent devices
- Maintain an average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients while adhering to infection prevention protocols
- Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, Stepdown, or related high-acuity nursing setting
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Demonstrated competency in advanced hemodynamics and pressor management
- Must be available to complete a competency assessment within 24 hours of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a large-scale adult PCU environment
- Background in community hospital ICU settings
- Familiarity with care of both medical and surgical patient populations
