Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Alliance, NE

Job Title

RN – Patient Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) – Acute Care

Alliance, NE

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed private-room acute care unit, including floor beds and Medical Decision Unit beds
• Care for a patient population that includes COPD exacerbation, CHF, swing bed patients (wound care, amputations, long-term antibiotics), and some post-partum and pediatric patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 as an occasional stretch, utilizing central telemetry monitoring and portable telemetry monitors
• Document patient care using Meditech Expanse; operate Alaris infusion pumps
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Case Managers, Social Services, Therapy, Lab, and Pharmacy
• May float to the Emergency Department in a task nurse capacity as needed

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Reliable personal transportation required (rideshare services are not available in this area)
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association
• Prior experience with Meditech Expanse charting system
• Experience with swing bed patient populations and extended-stay care

• Work within a well-supported unit featuring 24/7 lab services, robust therapy coverage, dedicated Case Managers, and a non-patient-carrying Charge Nurse on every shift
• Structured orientation program including classroom training and a preceptored shift to set you up for success
