Registered Nurse – Progressive Care / Step Down (IMC/PCU)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy
- Administer and manage Heparin drips and other IV medications per protocol
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in a progressive care setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive care, step down, or IMC/PCU setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience managing high-acuity patients including those on Heparin drips
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, or encephalopathy in an intermediate care environment
- Familiarity with managing patients with substance abuse and complex chronic conditions in an acute care setting
