Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Atlanta, GA

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to low-acuity critical care and observation patients within a heart and vascular moderate care unit
• Monitor and manage patients with arterial lines, PA catheters, LVADs, and up to 2–4 vasoactive drips
• Care for pre-surgical and post-procedure patients requiring extended monitoring prior to discharge
• Perform thorough cardiovascular assessments and apply critical thinking in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Complete a proctored, written rhythm identification test upon start of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of IMC, PCU, Stepdown, or related specialty experience within the past 3 years
• Competency with PA catheters and arterial lines
• Ability to pass a proctored rhythm identification test (written, not multiple choice; two attempts allowed)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with LVAD management and vasoactive drip titration
• Background in cardiovascular or cardiac stepdown nursing
