Registered Nurse – Progressive Care / Step Down (IMC/PCU)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a medical step down / progressive care unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a step down, progressive care, IMC, or PCU setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for patients with complex, multi-system diagnoses in an intermediate or step down care environment
- Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations including those with neurological and substance abuse-related conditions
