Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Step-Down (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hrs/week) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 12-bed moderate care observation unit serving the heart and vascular service line
• Monitor and manage low-acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in cardiac or vascular ICU or step-down units
• Care for post-procedural same-day patients requiring extended monitoring prior to discharge
• Manage patients with arterial lines, PA catheters, LVADs, and up to 2–4 vasoactive drips
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm identification for a high-volume, high-turnover patient population
• Apply strong critical thinking and assessment skills across a wide variety of cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of IMC, PCU, Step-Down, or related specialty experience within the past 3 years
• Competency with PA catheters and arterial lines
• Ability to pass a proctored, written (non-multiple-choice) cardiac rhythm identification test upon start
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)
• Navy blue scrubs required

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience caring for pre-surgical or cardiac/vascular surgical patients
• Familiarity with LVAD management and multi-drip vasoactive therapy

• Gain exposure to a broad range of cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses in a dynamic, high-acuity observation environment
• Develop and refine critical care assessment and organizational skills within a specialized heart and vascular service line
