Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity 16-bed IMC/Stepdown unit serving a mix of ED arrivals, floor upgrades, and ICU step-down patients
• Assist with procedures including central line insertion, chest tube insertion, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Support and monitor patients receiving bedside hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, cardioversion, adenosine administration, chemotherapy management, and IVIG
• Assist with tracheostomy exchanges and bronchoscopy with secured airway
• Collaborate with on-unit respiratory therapy and pharmacy teams to coordinate complex patient care
• Float within scope of practice as required; travelers are expected to float first

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association only
• CPI certification required – the Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Ability to work 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week block and holidays as scheduled
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only) preferred
• Prior experience in a high-acuity IMC, stepdown, or ICU-adjacent setting
• Comfort managing patients who may require ICU step-up or who are stepping down from ICU level care
