Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down / IMC / PCU (Travel)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down / IMC / PCU setting with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level cardiac and medical-surgical care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the facility EMR system
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of Alabama (or compact equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Step Down, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
• All required certifications must be current and on hand; submissions lacking certifications will not be considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced intermediate care setting
