Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/cardiac-focused unit serving adult and geriatric populations, including patients with cardiac, respiratory, and acute-on-chronic conditions
- Titrate and manage drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
- Read, interpret, and document cardiac telemetry strips independently
- Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including BiPAP, trachs, and high-flow devices
- Float as needed to PCU (full patient load), Medical-Surgical units, and ER hold/boarding areas
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (general) and 1:3 (PCU overflow level care)
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- PCU-level experience required
- Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
- Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Epic EMR
- Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
- Familiarity with cardiac cath, EP studies, and pacemaker patient populations
