Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed telemetry and cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacemakers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, COVID/BiPAP, and acute-on-chronic conditions
Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
Independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and telemetry monitors
Manage patients at PCU-level care when overflow occurs, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3 for PCU-level, 1:4–5 general)
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment including BiPAP, trachs, and Airvo/high-flow devices
Float as needed to PCU, medical-surgical units, and ER holding areas based on unit needs
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Demonstrated PCU experience
Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Epic electronic health records
Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
Familiarity with BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
