Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 32-bed telemetry/cardiac unit with PCU-level overflow care
Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (up to 1:6 on nights); PCU-level assignments at 1:3
Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
Read and independently interpret telemetry strips and cardiac monitors
Manage patients with diagnoses including cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, BiPAP/COVID, sepsis, pneumonia, influenza, and acute-on-chronic conditions
Float as needed to PCU for full patient load, medical-surgical units, and ER holds/boarding as a helping hand
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
PCU experience required
Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Epic EMR
Familiarity with BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and Airvo/high-flow respiratory equipment
Background in telemetry or dedicated cardiac nursing
