Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Up to 2 weekends per month required | Holidays required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting with a patient ratio of 5:1 (goal 4:1) on a 24-bed unit with an average census of 20–24 patients
Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation, charting, and patient management
Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
Float to MedSurg units as needed based on patient volume and staffing demands
Provide occasional care to pediatric patients as unit census requires
Required Qualifications
Active North Carolina RN license or valid compact RN license (must be at least pending with a clearly stated ETA)
Minimum 2 years of IMCU or telemetry nursing experience
Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be AHA-issued; all certifications must remain active throughout the duration of the contract)
Recent proficiency with EPIC EMR
Telemetry skills required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Comfort and prior experience caring for pediatric patients in an acute care setting
Familiarity with block scheduling requests and float pool environments
