Registered Nurse – Stepdown / Surgical IMCU

Key Responsibilities- Provide intermediate care nursing for post-operative patients transferred from PACU or SICU
- Care for patients across a range of surgical specialties including cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Operate automated medication dispensing systems
- Manage patient assignments at ratios of 1:3 to 1:4-5 depending on patient acuity and unit census
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Surgical stepdown experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is required
- IMCU/Stepdown experience required
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Must complete telemetry and critical care medication assessments on day one of assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a tertiary care facility
- More than one previous travel nursing assignment
- Familiarity with automated medication dispensing systems
