Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Bridgeport, WV

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage stepdown-level patients including post-MI with sheath pull, ADHF, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Neo, and Cardene per unit protocols
• Monitor all patients on telemetry and independently read and interpret cardiac strips
• Operate and manage BiPAP and CPAP respiratory equipment as needed
• Float to other units as needed (PRN)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with stepdown or intermediate care level patients
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips
• Experience titrating vasoactive drips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with post-MI care including sheath pulls
• Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP management in a stepdown setting
• Experience working with PCT-supported care teams
