Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Burlington, NC

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Cardiac Progressive Care)

Burlington, NC

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Weekend Rotation and Holidays as Needed

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed private Cardiac Medical Progressive Care unit operating 24/7, with rooms remotely monitored by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department
• Manage cardiac patients including those with Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, arrhythmias, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, rule-out myocardial infarction, syncope, and pacemaker placement
• Provide secondary care for respiratory patients including COPD, pneumonia, and BiPAP management
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; manage cardiac and vasoactive drips including titration; administer procedural sedation
• Perform peripheral line care, PICC line management, chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur-evac), tracheostomy management, and external CPAP/BiPAP
• Participate in a self-assisted scheduling system across 6-week scheduling periods based on departmental need, patient work intensity, and skill mix

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with Cardiac PCU background required; must be comfortable with 1:4–1:5 patient ratios
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed, required for all RNs regardless of specialty)
• No open background check cases permitted; active license and current driver's license required to verify address

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Experience with Rapid Response Teams preferred
• Third-party education verification required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
