Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting.
Assess patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data into a meaningful plan of care.
Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care.
Identify and address discharge planning needs, consulting appropriate resources in a timely manner for patients with complex care or high-risk discharge situations.
Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care practices while promoting a safe and secure hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Preferred Experience / Skills
BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience in a progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown unit setting.
