Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Travel Contract

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit serving an adult cardiac population, including cardiac observation, post cardiac catheterization lab patients, and cardioversion patients
- Monitor patients via telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Paragon EHR system
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
- Adhere to a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio while delivering safe, high-quality care
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of PCU, step-down, or ICU experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at minimum
- Proficiency with telemetry equipment and cardiac monitoring
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from facility to qualify as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with the Paragon electronic health record system
- Background in cardiac specialty nursing with familiarity in common cardiac diagnoses and treatments
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
