Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Monitor and manage cardiac patients including cardiac observation, post cardiac catheterization lab patients, and cardioversion patients
- Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously assess and respond to patient cardiac status
- Document patient care accurately using the Paragon electronic health record system
- Float to other units as required per facility float policy
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care to an adult patient population
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a stepdown or ICU setting
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required education
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with cardiac observation and post-procedural cardiac patient populations
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a progressive care or stepdown environment
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills and flexibility in a fast-paced setting
