Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Decatur, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care setting for medically complex or long-term acute care patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatment, escalating concerns to the care team as appropriate
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, Step-Down, or similar intermediate care environment
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a long-term acute care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) environment
• Familiarity with caring for medically complex or ventilator-dependent patients
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in a step-down or progressive care setting
