Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi Trauma PCU unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage complex trauma patients including those requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, and suction
- Operate and monitor unit equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction devices
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, physicians, and patient care technicians on the night shift
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system (Meditech / CPN)
Required Qualifications- Active RN license with a minimum of 1–2 years of current acute care hospital PCU experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suctioning
Preferred Experience / Skills- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center environment
