Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Float within scope to like units as needed, consistent with expectations for staff nurses
- Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as required
Required Qualifications- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (locals not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- NIHSS certification preferred
- Prior experience charting in Epic
- Familiarity with intermediate or progressive care unit workflows and patient populations
