Travel RN – Stepdown (IMC/PCU) – Nights

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Stepdown/IMC unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Monitor and manage post-cardiovascular surgery patients through the recovery process
- Titrate cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol
- Manage patients on BiPAP and utilize Airvo high-flow oxygen therapy equipment
- Recognize and respond appropriately to deteriorating patient conditions
- Float to Med/Surg as required by unit needs and respond to on-call requirements as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Arkansas RN licensure (or compact license eligible)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown or IMC/PCU nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience with post-CV surgery patients and cardiac drip titration
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Comfort with rapid patient turnaround and frequently changing clinical priorities
