Job Title

Travel RN – Stepdown (IMC/PCU) – Nights

Location

Fort Smith, Arkansas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
  • Monitor and manage post-cardiovascular surgery patients through recovery
  • Titrate cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol
  • Manage patients on BiPAP and Airvo high-flow oxygen therapy
  • Recognize and respond to signs of patient deterioration promptly and effectively
  • Float to Med/Surg as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas or compact eligibility
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Stepdown or IMC/PCU nursing experience
  • Demonstrated experience with post-CV surgery patients and cardiac drip titration
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing patient priorities
