    Job Title

    Progressive Care Unit RN – Night Shift

    Location

    Great Falls, MT

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on a Progressive Care/Step-Down unit, including post-op surgical, pre/post PCI, CHF, COPD, DKA, sepsis, PE, DVT, and renal failure patients
    • Operate advanced medical equipment and manage patients with central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, multiple IVs, and patients requiring noninvasive or invasive ventilatory support including CPAP and BiPAP
    • Perform skilled patient assessments and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision, recognizing and responding to potentially deteriorating conditions
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including providers, charge nurses, LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary staff to ensure effective care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
    • Manage common IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine (non-titrated), Lasix/Bumex, Amiodarone, and Dopamine (non-titrated)
    • Act as a clinical leader, assist with precepting staff, and provide coverage on the Medical-Surgical unit when staffing needs require
    Required Qualifications
    • Current State of Montana RN Licensure
    • BLS and ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Ability to perform basic cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
    • Proficiency with advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support devices
    • Knowledge of advanced nursing principles and procedures
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ENPC and/or TNCC certification
    • Experience in post-heart catheterization care and post-operative vascular surgery patients
    • Pediatric nursing experience
