Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a standard medical-surgical floor
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown clinical setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-acuity progressive care or intermediate care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
