Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 4 x 12-hour shifts per week | 48 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state
- Current BLS certification
- Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown unit
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills- ACLS certification
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Familiarity with high-acuity progressive care patient populations
