    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown)

    Greenville, NC

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours per week | 13-week assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed flex unit serving both intermediate and general care populations
    • Care for oncology patients requiring surgical intervention as well as benign surgical patients across specialties including ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
    • Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring
    • Maintain a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio
    • Participate in self-scheduling, including 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
    • Float to areas of equal or lesser care level as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
    • Prior travel nursing experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown unit setting
    • Familiarity with surgical oncology or post-operative patient populations
