Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Hagerstown, MD

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units as part of a float pool assignment
• Provide direct patient care with expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit assignment
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in accordance with facility scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent Epic EMR experience is required — candidates without documented Epic experience will not be considered
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years of IMC unit experience in a hospital setting — candidates without documented IMC experience will not be considered
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD required — no exceptions
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted
• Must be a traveler with prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are not eligible)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high-acuity patients including those in septic shock or with cardiovascular instability
• Comfort and adaptability with floating to multiple unit types within a single assignment
• Familiarity with Relias or Net Learning online module platforms
