Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting with floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Maintain safe and effective patient care when floated, including comfort with 1:7 patient ratios on Medical-Surgical floors
• Actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside standard clinical care responsibilities
• Adhere to facility compliance requirements including timely completion of orientation modules and required testing
• Participate in general orientation beginning on Sundays, including online computer-based learning (CBLs)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; no substitutions)
• AHA ACLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; no substitutions)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must be comfortable floating and working in units with 1:7 patient ratios
• Must permanently reside 100 or more miles from the facility's service area — locals are not accepted
• Relias EKG testing must be completed within 72 hours of signing; two attempts allowed — failure of both or non-completion results in automatic cancellation
• Drug test must be completed within 12–14 calendar days prior to start date; candidates must be available to return to the lab a second time if needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience floating across multiple units and adapting to varying patient acuity levels
• Familiarity with clinical student education and preceptorship in a nursing environment
