Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care (IMC) Acute Medical/Progressive Care setting and an IMC Thoracic unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
- Deliver nursing care to oncology, cardiac, and PCU/stepdown patient populations
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant care
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or related specialty
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required
- Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with both adult and pediatric telemetry rhythm interpretation
