Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00am–7:30pm) | Monday–Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care (IMC) Acute Medical/Progressive Care unit and an IMC Thoracic unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms for oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
- Manage care for patients requiring ventilator support and transplant-related nursing interventions
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands
- Adhere to all facility compliance standards, testing requirements, and unit-specific protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or related specialty
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required
- Must pass a facility telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with both adult and pediatric telemetry rhythm interpretation
