Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMCU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Progressive Care / IMCU setting with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage complex patient populations including post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock cases
Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Document and manage patient care using Cerner EHR
Participate in a float rotation shared among travel nurses as needed based on unit census
Adhere to facility dress code requirements; scrub colors limited to galaxy, royal, or navy blue
Required Qualifications
Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Willingness to float within the unit on a rotational basis
Must meet travel designation requirements (60+ miles from facility)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Background in CVICU or Neuro ICU strongly preferred
Experience with organ donation or pediatric DKA management
Familiarity with Cerner EHR and CRRT equipment
