Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Morgantown, WV

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Morgantown, WV

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | Weekdays with Some Weekends | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit setting with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 in emergencies
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms for a patient population with varying acuity levels, including Progressive Care and Telemetry-level patients
• Perform IV insertions and manage IV therapy as part of routine patient care
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care across night shift hours

• Active RN license in West Virginia or a Compact state (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting and at least 2 years in a Stepdown unit
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry monitoring, including the ability to read and interpret rhythm strips
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility (candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis)

• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus, though not required
• Familiarity with Progressive Care or higher-acuity Stepdown patient populations
• Ability to work blocked weekend schedules (Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday)

• Immediate start available with the possibility of contract extension beyond the initial 13-week assignment
