Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Olympia, WA

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Float across units to meet census and staffing needs, caring for a diverse patient population including telemetry, med-surg, and ER-boarded patients
• Manage a variable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity
• Perform core charge nurse duties on designated smaller units, including staffing coordination, bed flow management, and general unit oversight
• Document and chart patient care using EPIC
• May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Charge nurse experience is required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of submittal
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals considered at a different rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or float pool environment
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience managing diverse patient populations across multiple unit types
