Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Assume responsibility for patient care at the unit level, ensuring safe and appropriate nursing practices
- Supervise staff to whom appropriate patient care tasks have been delegated
- Support nursing leadership in maintaining high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
- Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in an IMCU, PCU, or Step Down clinical setting
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
- Demonstrated ability to delegate and supervise clinical staff appropriately
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a cardiovascular, surgical, or medical ICU environment
- Familiarity with multi-unit or high-acuity stepdown patient populations
